Arrival at BIA Katunayake - Negombo City Tour - Negombo

Arrival at Bandarnayaka International Airport Katunayake and welcome by Miracle Lanka representative, then proceed to Negombo beach hotel (15 minutes from airport). Few hours leisure at beach, then start a city tour in Negombo, visit the remaining of the Dutch period including fish market, Buddhist temple, Catholic church, Hindu temple, market and bazaar area. Optional: Boat safari in the Dutch canal. In the evening tour explain in brief with welcome cocktail. Overnight stay at Negombo.

Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage - Spice Garden - Kandy

After breakfast proceeding to visit the elephant orphanage in Pinnawela, established in 1975, commenced with five orphans. Today some of these orphans enjoy the fortune of seeing their grandchildren born in the same location. En route to Kandy, visit a spice garden at Mawanella to learn about spices and their use in Sri Lanka cuisines. In the evening enjoy a cultural show. Overnight stay at Kandy.

After breakfast, enjoy some sightseeing such as the Temple of the Tooth Relic, and visit Royal Botanical Garden at Peradeniya, Visit gem lapidary where you can see, how rough gems (particularly the famous Blue & Star sapphires) are mined cut and polished using traditional methods and arts and crafts work shop, oriental market place and bazaar by “Tuk Tuk” . Matale Hindu Temple - Sigiriya Rock Fortress - Polonnaruwa City Tour – Kandy

After breakfast leave to Sigiriya, which is a well secured rock fortress was declared as a world heritage site was built by king Kashyapa in 5th century A.D. It’s home to water garden, still functioning fountains, frescoes, ancient graffiti and amazing ruins of the palace on the rock. Optional: Ride on an elephant or Village tour. Then proceed to visit Polonnaruwa, which is the medieval capital of Sri Lanka was built in 11th and 12th centuries also it was declared as a world heritage site. You can see the ruins of the Royal palace, Lotus bath, Buddhist monuments, and visit Lankathilaka, Galviharaya which is splendid statues of the Buddha, carved out of the living rock. Visit a wood carving center. Then back to Kandy and overnight stay.

Trekking at Knuckles – Colbert’s Gap - Knuckles Camping Site

After breakfast leave to Knuckles range. Knuckles Mountain Range as a UNESCO world heritage site provides intrepid travelers with the opportunity to experience Sri Lanka at its most primal. A rugged area of pristine wildness-including rare dwarf cloud forest-the knuckles has 27 peaks over 1000 m, with the highest rising to nearly 2000 m. The region stretches an impressive 155 sq km that contains five major forest formations; it is also home to an exceptional array of endemic animal and plant species. Though largely uninhabited, the region contains some of the most isolated hamlets in the island, where it is still possible to witness a way of life largely untouched by modernity. Camping site at Cober’t Gap. This is a unique location with unique opportunity to experience what it is like to live right in the heart of the mountains. The panoramic views are particularly dramatic in the morning when a colorful sunrise illuminates the skies. Knuckles mountain range is a paradise for those who love to hike or mountain bike and also cycling, trekking, photography and filming, rock climbing and Bird watching. Trekking or cycling at Kobonilla – Loolwatte – Corbert’s Gap (7 Km) – Enjoy the panoramic view, unique rock formations and different vegetation types from the Cobert’s Gap-sphinx rock, Kalupanaha, Lakegala to the North-east and Dumbara valley to the east. Kandy - Tea Plantation & Tea Factory - Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast leave back to Kandy then drive through scenic mountains to Nuwara Eliya, well known as “Little England”. It is supposed to be one of the coolest places in the island, but it is really just like and English Spring. On the way to Nuwara Eliya, stop at the mountains covered with tea bushes and at waterfalls. Enjoy the magnificent landscape. Visit a Tea Factory, follow the tea trails to watch the interesting process and enjoy a freshly brewed cup of Ceylon Tea. Overnight stay at Nuwara Eliya.

Adam’s peak- Delhousie

After breakfast leave to Sri-Pada (Sacred Footprint) known as Adam’s Peak. The mountain is considered sacred to adherents of all Sri-Lankan’s main faiths Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims and Christians and attracts many pilgrims between December and May each year. The ascent requires stamina rather than mountaineering skills and consists of over 4800 steps to the summit. The best time to make the ascent is during the night (Start at 2 a.m.), when the twinkling lights of the illuminated pathway appear to rise like a stairway to heaven. Tea stalls line the path and the distant tolling of the bell at the summit provides encouragement to weary climbers. Dawn at the summit is an intensely spiritual experience. Pilgrims whisper reverently to each other as the sun rises and casts a perfect triangular shadow on the clouds below, one of the island’s more unusual natural phenomena. When you are back to the hotel around 6 a.m. or 7 a.m. then you can have your breakfast and relax few hours at the same hotel.

Kitulgala – Leisure

Leave to Kitulgala, then relaxes at the hotel. Kitulgala is one of the most scenic locations in the island and also a centre for many nature and adventure related activities which include White Water Rafting and visits to rain forests. Ratnapura - Natural Gem Mine - Jeep Safari at Udawalawe National Park - Udawalawe

After breakfast leave to Udawalawe via Ratnapura (City of Gems). Sri Lanka has been famous for its gems since antiquity – legend has it that a Sri Lankan ruby was given by King Solomon to the Queen of Sheba. Ratnapura, ensconced in the verdant hills at the south-western corner of the hill country, is the island’s richest source of gems. A trip to a working gem mine provides a fascinating glimpse into the mining process, which is still largely carried out by hand. Jeep safari at Udawalawe National Park is undoubtedly the best place in Sri Lanka to see wild Asian Elephants (Elephas maximus) throughout the year. There are about 500 elephants in the park and they often roam in herds of up to 100 also you can see wild buffalo, samba deer and leopards. Udawalawe National Park is unique in terms of consistency in numbers of elephants roaming the park, it has no a seasonal variation in herds of elephants. The best hours to visit the park are in the morning and evening. Late evening also affords the photographic opportunities in the backdrop of loveliest sunsets. Udawalawe is the Sri Lankan national park that best rivals the savannah reserves of Africa. The park 30,821 hectares centre on the large Udawalawe Reservoir, fed by the River Walawe. Two blocks are open for visitors local and foreign and adjoining parks, The blocks have individual names such as Ruhunu National park (Block 1) and Kumana National Park (Block 2 and famous for birds) also the highest density of the Leopards (Panthera Pardus Kotiya) in the world and it is home to wild elephants, wild boars, wild buffaloes, sloth bear, spotted deer, and crocodiles. Large flocks of migratory and indigenous birds are also found here. Overnight stay at Tissamaharama.

After breakfast leave to Galle via Tangalle and Mirissa. Visit Dutch Fortress was declared as a world heritage site by UNESCO and concern as a living colonial city. Galle was an ancient port (said to be legendary Tar Shish of The Bible), and our first international commerce and trade centre. Today, Galle is the bustling provincial capital and administrative centre of the south. Then back to Mirissa and overnight stay.
